Fighting information manipulation by creating alternative content and promoting the Referendum 2024 among representatives of national minorities
Through this initiative, the Center for Civic Initiatives for National Minorities (ICPMN) aims to counter disinformation and manipulation by creating motivational videos in minority languages (Ukrainian, Gagauz, Russian, and Bulgarian) and conducting offline information campaigns in southern Moldova. The project promotes EU integration, explains its benefits, and encourages participation in the 2024 Referendum.
The videos will address key issues for each minority group — from language and cultural preservation within the EU to youth opportunities, business development, and education. The offline campaign “Minority Talk: EU Integration” will consist of local interactive sessions in minority communities, where participants can ask questions and receive answers from EU integration experts.
Additionally, brochures in minority languages will be distributed, presenting accessible information on the EU integration process, concrete benefits of membership, and practical guidance to help citizens navigate disinformation.
