A delegation of mayors from Moldova visited the Czech Republic to learn from European local development practices and strengthen cooperation with European partners.
In Gagauzia, young activists met with EU Ambassador to Moldova, Janis Mazeiks, to discuss European integration. The meeting marked the launch of the “EU4Minorities” program for national, ethnic, and linguistic minorities. Its aim is to strengthen their participation in political and socio-economic life and promote European values.
On August 20, Drochia hosted a roundtable on the participation of national minorities in Moldova’s 2025 parliamentary elections. The event gathered representatives of Parliament, Government, local authorities, civil society and the media. Discussions focused on fair representation and building sustainable mechanisms for dialogue between the state and minority communities.
On August 15, 2025, ICPMN participants visited the OSCE Mission in Chișinău to discuss with Jan Tomešek ways to strengthen democracy, human rights, and interethnic dialogue in Moldova. Special attention was given to Gagauzia, where security and youth engagement are strategic priorities. Later, participants attended a cybersecurity training in the electoral context. The initiative promotes trust, dialogue, and protection of minority rights.
Three days of intensive learning, practical exercises, and intercultural exchange, inspiring young people from minorities to take action and create positive change in their communities.
