Together for the Future: Prime Minister Meets with Minority Representatives
Today, the team of the Civic Initiatives Center for National Minorities organized a working meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Recean. The meeting brought together activists, youth, entrepreneurs, and representatives from the cultural and media sectors of ATU Gagauzia and the Taraclia district.
The discussions focused on the active involvement of national minorities in decision-making processes and the importance of balanced regional development. The Prime Minister highlighted major investments in the south of the country, including the construction of the Vulcănești bypass and the 15 ongoing projects under the “European Village” program, with a total value of 73 million lei in Gagauzia.
The initiative to support the Gagauz language in education was also emphasized.
The Center’s team welcomed the Government’s openness to dialogue and direct cooperation with minority communities. The young participants brought forward essential topics such as European integration and the fight against disinformation.
